Privacy

When you create an account we store a public username, your first name, your last name, your email address and — only if you choose to give it — a favorite croissant city. We also keep your account creation date, last active date and account status.

We do not ask for or store your home address, phone number, date of birth, gender, health or dietary information, financial information, social-media profiles or location history.

Public: your username, your published reviews and ratings, approved review photos, and your favorite city if you set one.

Private: your first name, last name, email address, marketing preference, consent history and account-management information. These are visible only to you and to authorized administrators.

To attribute reviews fairly, to let you manage what you have published, to verify that an account belongs to a real email address, and to improve the product using aggregate, anonymized usage counts.

If you allow location access, we use your coordinates during that browsing session only — to center the map, find nearby bakeries and calculate distances. We do not keep a location history, we never request background location, and precise coordinates are never added to your profile. A favorite city you deliberately choose is stored, because you chose it.

If you decline location access, city and postcode search still work.

Reviews you publish are public and attributed to your username. Photos become public only once approved by a moderator. Photos are always optional.

Marketing emails require a separate, unticked opt-in at signup. You can add or withdraw it at any time in Account Settings. We record the choice, the time, where it was made and the privacy policy version in force. Withdrawing consent keeps only the minimum record needed to make sure we do not contact you again by mistake.

Change your username in Account Settings, once every 30 days.

Download everything we hold about you with “Download my data”.

Delete your account at any time, choosing whether your reviews are deleted or kept anonymously as “Former reviewer”.

Account data is kept while your account is open. When you delete your account, private profile data is removed straight away; anonymized reviews keep only the content, ratings, bakery, city and approved photos.
